Writing about ReScreen?
Take anything on this page as-is — no permission needed. It is here so a review, a roundup or a directory entry can describe ReScreen correctly without having to guess.

ReScreen is a native macOS screen recorder and editor that zooms to every click automatically and keeps every recording on your Mac.
One paragraph
For the body of an article or a review.
ReScreen is a native screen recorder and video editor for macOS. It records the screen, camera, microphone and system audio as independent tracks, turns the clicks, drags and scrolls it captured into editable zoom blocks, and exports MP4 or MOV up to 4K — without uploading anything. Capture, editing and export all run on the user's own Mac.
Full description
For a press release or a detailed write-up.
ReScreen is a native screen recorder and video editor for macOS, built for the people who record software: product demos, tutorials, onboarding and support videos, and walkthroughs of screens that must not leave the building.
Its central idea is that the tedious part of editing a screen recording should not be a person's job. ReScreen records clicks, drags and scrolls as events while it captures, then builds zoom blocks from them when the take opens in the editor — framed away from the camera and clamped inside the source — and hands every block back to be moved, retimed or deleted. What normally takes an hour of keyframing is done before the editor opens.
The second idea is that a screen recording is the most sensitive video most people make. ReScreen operates no service capable of receiving video. Recording, editing and export happen on the Mac that made the file, and projects are ordinary folders on the user's own disk.
