Billing questions
Is there a free version?
No. ReScreen is paid-only: the app shows a sign-in screen until an account with an active plan unlocks recording. In exchange there is no watermark, no time limit and no feature held back for a higher tier.
What happens if my card fails on renewal night?
Nothing immediate. A failed renewal never stops a recording halfway through: update your card and the plan carries on exactly as before.
What happens when I cancel?
Access runs to the end of the period you have paid for and then stops. Your recordings are ordinary files in a folder you own, so they stay exactly where they are.
How do I cancel, change my card or get an invoice?
Sign in on your account page at https://rescreen.studio/account. It lists your subscription and every payment: you can cancel, move between monthly and yearly, change the card you pay with and download each invoice there.
Can I move from monthly to yearly, or to lifetime?
Yes. Monthly and yearly switch on your account page, and the unused part of your current plan is taken off the first charge. Buy Lifetime and your subscription ends straight away, so it never charges you again.
Can I move my licence to a new Mac?
Yes. Release the old Mac from Settings → Account and sign in on the new one, so replacing a laptop does not mean buying the app again.
Does the lifetime licence really never expire?
Yes. It is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, and it carries no expiry date at all.
Who handles the payment?
Checkout is handled by our merchant of record, Paddle or Dodo Payments: the checkout and your receipt name which one sold you your plan. Card details are never seen by the app or by this site.
